Amy was invited to join Apparition as guitarist 2014 after being introduced to David, who felt she would be a great addition in the move to a two guitar line-up due to her direct and professional attitude, her passion for all things musical combined with her raw talent and determination to succeed enabling her to adapt and learn new pieces. When asked about her inspiration to join, Amy spoke about finding the material interesting and was inspired by David’s positive attitude and ideas, recalling how she enjoyed the time spent jamming the songs in preparation for rehearsals for her first shows with the band, and working on songs for the new album.
Reflecting on her influences as a guitarist, Amy has often spoken about her appreciation for most genres and always looking for new challenges to develop and adapt her skills to perform different styles. Amy especially cites the following influences:
Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Gary Moore, Eddie Van Halen, Steve Lukather, Nuno Bettencourt, John Petrucci, Jimi Hendrix, Plini, Hans Zimmer, Nobuo Uematsu, Joe Pass, Harry Gregson-Williams and Des Sherwood.

Amy also plays bass and is learning her grades on the piano. Having taken courses on composition and harmony, Amy is also interested in classical guitar, orchestration and film score and often speaks about her desire to develop as a musician and composer.

Amy’s musical history:
As a skilled electric, acoustic, and bass guitar player, Amy’s qualifications in music include a distinction grade in a BTEC National Diploma in Music Performance and ABRSM grade 5 music theory. She has completed a B(Mus) Popular Music course at the University of Wolverhampton receiving a first class grade. During her studies, Amy was involved in numerous bands and ensembles, including an eighties rock tribute called ‘The Lah Lah’s and Wah Wah’s’ and a function band by the name of ‘Cover Creatures’, which covered hits from the seventies to present. Amy has also played music for the musicals Grease and Jesus Christ Superstar and has supported a Free Radio Live concert at the LG arena representing the University of Wolverhampton. In 2017 Amy also worked as live guitarist for Fallen Arise, a Greek metal act, touring in Germany, The Netherlands, Czechia and Russia.
